Welcome to a "Little Piece of Heaven in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont."
Derby, Vermont is home to the Border Motel but there are so many things to see and do in the local area that we don't expect to see much of you during your stay with us.
Our many lakes in the area offer many summer activities such as fishing, swimming, boating, jet skiing, and water skiing. Boat and Jet Ski rentals are available in the area. A few old country stores might peak your curiosity or perhaps rummaging through some interesting antique shops would be more to your liking.
Just across the street from us is an Elk Farm and of course we also have many real working farms where the cows and horses graze on the green grass.
We are only about 5 minutes from the famous Haskell Opera House, which inside is divided by the border of Vermont and Canada.
Of course their are picnic areas nearby, parks to play in and bike paths to walk. So grab a bike or a horse and travel the roads through the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. When the day is done, stop in at one of the local ice cream shops and splurge on a double scoop cone. I highly recommend trying "Moose Tracks" it is sure a great flavor!
